Not into scuba so what excursions

We love to cruise but not interested in diving. Any suggestions on what to do and see in Belize. Private or with the ship, Thanks for your suggestions.

Best excursion I've ever done was through Carnival--Land rover river and cave with lunch. We were picked up by an open boat and didn't go to the tender area but to the river.

 

We had a marvelous ride up the winding river to a spot that was like a garden where we got into Land Rovers. I was with 3 guys, one who complained the whole time. He was eaten up by mosquitos. I gave him some lotion and it helped. 2 horses jumped a fence and ran right in front of our vehicle. We tried to get them to go back into the fenced area which they finally did--scared to death.

 

We went on roads then dirt a long way to a park area. We crossed a bridge across the river (kind of hard) and went through a cave. In parts of the cave you nearly crawl. Lots of bats.

 

Afterward we had lunch--something simple.

 

The open air bus ride back to the tenders was fun. We were all drinking rum punch and singing.

 

It was a hoot! It's the BEST excursion ever.
