Is wi fi as fast as internet cafe on Legend?

I am trying to decide if I should pack my laptop computer. On other cruises (different cruiselines) I have had difficulty using my own computer whereas the internet cafe worked better. I would desire to use my own computer in the room if the service was as good as the internet cafe...so please help me make my decision...and Thank you! (I already searched the subject and could not get my answer)

The service anywhere on the ship is rather much the same... slow. With the exception of the Carnival Magic and Dream the satellite connection is under 750 k and that connection is shared by everyone using the internet at any given moment.

Going online very late at night or very early in the morning improves things a bit as fewer people are online at those times...
