hlb76 Posted May 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2011 We are now looking at a sailing out of Nola for our anniversary trip. As we get closer to having out deposist money saved it's not the cheapest cruise for the week we can go. Is there any good bad or ugly about this ship or ports of call or sailing from NOLA? JRock59 Posted May 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2011 The Ecstasy is a wonderful ship and she's been the talk of the boards lately. Have you tried doing a search on here for her? She's just the right size and very easy to find your way around on. Her crew is one of the best in the fleet. After her dry dock a couple of years ago she's also one of the most fun ships around. The main pool area is very open with the slide gone and has a resort feeling to it. The slide has been upgraded to a spiral slide and racing slides along with water works. If you can, book an aft balcony cabin. (one along the back not the side) Yes you will get a bit more vibration when she's slowing down going into a port but it's a good wake up call! The view is truly amazing and on sea days very quiet and peaceful. We're sneeking in one more Cruise on her in July before she leaves Galveston and I will miss seeing her in port as she's my favorite ship! :)
lillian marie Posted May 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2011 She's a great ship with nice staterooms. I hope you have fun.
hlb76 Posted May 3, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2011 Thanks... I need to find a bit more about New Orleans. We have never sailed from there. So I know no idea where to even start...besides theese boards. We hope to get in a day or 2 early and enjoy the town!!
