tassycatt Posted May 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2011 I just got off the Glory a week and a half ago. We were on the Lido deck with a balcony room. It was a special vacation for DH and I so I splurged a little. Now DD and I are going on a cruise in January and the itinerary we picked had the Glory pop up again. This time Im going the cheaper route and booking the Riveria deck. My question is what is the best location on this deck to avoid too much movement and noise? Normal 1 Posted May 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2011 Hey Tassycatt....I just did the western on the Glory with my DD in March.... We booked a 1A room.... 7345.... PERFECT location. And, this particular 1A has 2 beds on the floor!! Was just around the corner from the mid-ship elevators and near the laundry room. I would grab this room again anytime it was available!! And was that room number correct? I couldnt find it.

pshortie265 Posted May 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2011 I was on the Glory a week before you guys and we had a Rivera deck cabin- 1314 midship. Couldn't feel the movement there more than anywhere else on the ship and never heard ship noise- only people noise and that not very much either since we were in between two elevators. I thought it was a good value- you get all the same entertainment, food, etc. for a much smaller price. So jealous- wish I was rebooking :( Have fun! maxxedout2 Posted May 4, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2011 tassycatt, Glory is a nice ship. Great food. Fun excursions and entertainment. Would happily book again for that exotic Mayan itinerary. I mean Uxmal and Xunantunich made my cruise! I was booked in 1435 on Riviera deck, same cruise. Location was handy near aft elevators. Cabin was set up as upper/lower so it seemed large with all that open floor space. Very little motion, not like being forward. Some slight worker morning noise but I was already up so I have to say nothing that woke me up! On 3 docking days some sound...probably from mooring and thrusters. Took me a few days of exploring to figure out that deck 5 goes the entire ship. Self-debark is easy on deck 1 since it is called first. Walked all way to forward elevators on deck 1, then elevator up to deck 3 and out. Good value for the buck. That CC cabin crawl and poker run was a fun way to start....ran into a few CCers in ports...overall a fun time.
