Vancouver - One day only!

Recommended Posts

Just found out that we will be spending the night after we disembark in Vancouver. United so graciously cancelled our return flight and we had to book for the next day. :)

Anyway... I am now needing suggestions on what one thing we can do that is really the "icing on the cake" to do in Vancouver after our wonderful southbound cruise.

Also... we have been given some suggestions to hotels.. Pan Pacific, Westin and Four Seasons. Pros - Cons from anyone who has stayed

in them? (These are with Princess - but we do know we can book whatever we want.)

Thanks!!

Janice

The Pan Pacific forms part of Canada Place and is excellent. Fairmont has their Waterfront Hotel, right across the street from the Pan Pacific, another good choice. Four Seasons at Georgia and Hornby Sts. is in the heart of the business and retail community and is an extremely good choice as well. The Westin Bayshore is down near Stanley Park, has a nice setting overlooking the park and the Coal Harbour yacht basin...lots of nice restaurants around but a bit out of the swing of things. The Westin Grand is on Robson St. on the eastern edge of the business community and an excellent hotel. My first choice would be the Pan Pacific followed closely by the Fairmont Waterfront.

I often recommend the Vancouver Trolley which is a HOHO and is an excellent way to see a lot of the sights of Vancouver in a short period of time. Their route includes a stop in front of the Pan Pacific.

By the way we are very happy that you are spending the day with us.:)
