That big ole longhorn steer you see at the University of Texas at Austin football games is named Bevo! Now that I think of it, I don't really know the story behind the name, but I'm sure there is one.

 

The Aggies beat the Longhorns 13-0 a loooooong time ago. After the game, they stole the Longhorn and branded 13-0 on him. When UT got him back, they fixed the problem by filling in the spaces ie.. making the 13 a B the - an E. When they were done, they had changed 13-0 into BEVO. At least that's what I heard down at UTSA.:cool:
