Hi this is my first trip...14th may 2011.

 

I am taking my netbook and I am wondering if P and O sell/hire a wifi device for email and internet connections?.. Rather than use their computers.If so, any idea of the costs involved?

Hi Sapper.

Yes you can use your laptop with the ships wifi connection. There are various 'hot spots' around the ship.

I can't remember how much it was per minute, but it's not that cheap so I would suggest you type your emails offline then sign in to send them. You can use the internet by the minute, however I would suggest you purchase a package as it works out cheaper that way.

Because the internet is via Satellite it is very slow, about dial-up speed.

Many thanks for your info. Yes the Emails off line seems to the smart thing to do.

I did think the package would be the way to go and it is nice to have you confirm it.
