Rent a car in Sidney NS?

Hi, We will be in Sidney from 1 - 7PM. Should we rent a car and try driving. where can we go in such a short time? Or should we just take an excursion from the boat. Thanks for you help, Rhoda:)

If it is. You do not need to rent a car, you can just walk of the ship and walk around. There is plenty near by or take one of the tourist buses.

Avis is located off the entrance of the dock area. Sometimes the ship docks a fair distance from the entrance. I have rented from Avis on a somewhat longer day.

Do you know the location address of the Avis that you rented from? I just called Avis in Sidney and the woman told me that there is no Avis close to the terminal and that we would need to go with Budget.

We were in Sydney last week aboard the Maasdam. We took a tour to Baddeck which was a total disappointment and waste of money. My recommendation would be to just walk about the town and save you tour money for other places.
