TxBubba Posted May 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Howdy -- We are cruising with my 68 year old father next spring and the cave tubing excursion looked like fun and something he could do. Is there anything about this excursion that might trouble an older man. He is not wheelchair bound or anything just a little slower than you and I, but who isn't at age 68. Any feedback would be welcome. Thanks! -TxBubba
TBOTZON Posted May 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2011 We just did the tour and there are stairs up to a trail ( I will try to post a picture for you below if I can figure out how :p) and you need to walk across rocks through a river currently above the knee. I am sure the water height varies by the season. The jungle hike is not strenuous at all. The float through the cave is very leisurely right now. We used Charlie Chan and we had the tour all to ourselves. Our guide was Roberto and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend!
