JennLuvs2Cruise Posted May 19, 2011 #26 Share Posted May 19, 2011 On my cruises on board the Elation & Dream, the beds have been super comfortable! I also thought the beds were more on the soft side, especially on the Dream. My fiance never wanted to get out of bed, and also wish we could of brought the bed home! :)
joshchristine100700 Posted May 19, 2011 #27 Share Posted May 19, 2011 My side of the bed was nice on the triumph but DH side sagged down toward the window badly and he slept horribly at times. Next time I'll have to remember that we can ask them to try and remedy it.
ROPD184 Posted May 19, 2011 #28 Share Posted May 19, 2011 I thought the bed on the Conquest was to DIE for. I hope the ones on the Ecstasy are has wonderful. Ohhhhhh trust me they ARE!! I find the beds firm....but they are more comfortable and supporting than any other bed I have ever slept on.....heck....on our last cruise my wife began to get frustrated...here was a normal day for us.... Sleep...wake up eat breakfast...NAP TIME....wife wakes me up to go to the pool....fifteen minutes at the pool and DOD.....uh oh...another nap time.....wide wakes me up to take her to the casino...she loses 100 at the slots..I somehow make it back up....OOPS NAP TIME...ok yall get the point. bachstrad Posted May 19, 2011 #30 Share Posted May 19, 2011 "Cruise sleep" is the best sleep I get all year. Love the beds and the motion of the ship. Can't beat it.
amcankid Posted May 19, 2011 #31 Share Posted May 19, 2011 I have yet to have a bad sleep on a Carnival ship. Either I've been lucky or the motion of the ocean just puts me and keeps me in a very restful sleep. I've found the mattress as good as any high end hotel
k2excursion Posted May 19, 2011 #32 Share Posted May 19, 2011 My experience: extremely comfortable, perfectly soft beds on every single cruise.....except for the Miracle. Those beds were literally hard as a rock. I was shocked. I had such a hard time sleeping, despite being so tired. In contrast, on every other Carnival ship, I've slept great, and the beds have been awesome!!! So it has nothing to do with the age of the ship. In fact, the best bed and best nights sleep of my life came on the oldest ship I've been on, the Holiday. What I've noticed from other responses here, except for those saying that all Carnival beds are hard (which certainly hasn't been true for me), most people are praising the beds of all except for Spirit class ships (Spirit, Miracle, Pride, Legend). The Spirit class is very different overall, and it seems they decided to use flat rocks for beds. I'm really hoping that they aren't switching the beds over to these rocks on all their ships. My guess is that they just decided to use these rock beds on Spirit class ships only, because Conquest and Dream class ships have very comfortable beds. nytraveller53 Posted May 19, 2011 #35 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Both the regular beds and the sofa beds on the Valor were wonderfully firm. That's how I like it, but you can ask for an egg-crate if you want to soften it up.
rue1975 Posted May 19, 2011 #36 Share Posted May 19, 2011 I just got off the Pride Sunday and we all thought the beds were comfy. My Mom has a bad back and her back didn't hurt her in the morning at all. Her frist day after sleeping at home she woke up with a sore back. MagnoliaFly Posted May 19, 2011 #37 Share Posted May 19, 2011 I have a Tempur-Pedic mattress at home and found the beds on Carnival to not be too bad. No bed can compare but theirs wasn't worth complaining about - on the Legend anyway.

deadmoney Posted May 19, 2011 #41 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Our bed on the Legend last week was firm, far from what we are accustomed to so I just drank a couple of extra each evening before turning in:D
