Hey there....we are going to the Treasure islands on Star Clipper in December-2011. I would love to hear about your trip after you go if you will contact me at achdrbrown@aol.com....thanks

HI "Dr. Brown" - Stevein midland -

Back to basic with ships and sailing

( tried to to send this message to yr. given e-mail adress, was rejected,

here again )

As we travel and cuise a lot out of Ahens, we smooth down in Athens, relax

and shop, go to beaches, good food an fun.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Going an bord:

Easy few passengers, no lines.

Welcome from the staff polite uncomplicated style. Drink given.

Cabins: BIG O.K. - pratical

Bath : small O.K.

We been on RCL and Seaborn - as I said back to basic.

No long walks to get to the deck.

No styling in dressing. All opem mind passengers.

All events are on deck and if eeather is fine, most perfect.

Lectures by Peter :

Do not miss them - an incredible knowledge about sail ships and

forthcoming events - excursions.

Food and drink-operation :

Food : breakfast and Lunch = buffet FULL SUFFICIENT if you know the

way around.

If it is hot you drink more than eat.

Diner: Study the menue and you will always find a good solution.

Take some fruits for night meal.

Early coffe is at 6.00 together with sunrise ( Few on deck )

Drink: If you like smoothing things ( we use bubble all day ) buy

bottlewise and keep at the bar and take when needed. ( Cheapest this way )

There is no fridge in the standard cabins.

Excursion:

As we been around Greece plenty times we only made one to Kusadasi.

Good information beforehand.

Excellent for beachcombing, sailing on small boats and water-skiing.

As I said - back to basic. Small intresting ports, no big cruise liners around,

normal pax - no snobbish attidude and dressing.

It was our first Clipper sailing and not the last one !!!!

We have more then 100 sailings and this was IT..

Of course beiing pampered is good, but you can not live on caviar

and champagne alone.

I really hope you will have fun and enjoy it.

I / we felt as coming from 150 km down to ten.

Have an oversight about my "english" mistakes, as this was written by

heart at the end of a hot / nice swedish 27 C , 22.00H close to

midnight bubble - water evening.

Please give a notice

with kind regards Ceasar 80- ( not 55+ anymore )
