'Eclipse' crewman jumps off ship

It is just too sad. I understand the ship turned around to search for him for hours but to no avail. We'll never know why he jumped overboard.

This is so sad. Our neighbour's mum was on this cruise. It was her last night on board before returning to Southampton.

Very sad! We were on the ship in January, our first ever cruise. I wonder what part of the ship he had worked?

I just arrived home from this cruise. My deepest sympathy to the wonderful crew of the Celebrity Eclipse, the man's friends and most especially his family in this tragic situation.

 

The ship searched for many,many hours, circling and circling. Eventually professional sea rescue teams joined the ship and they continued searching as the ship made it's way for a late arrival in Southampton.
