cle1 Posted March 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2005 Just wondering if anyone could tell me how much this costs, how long it takes, and how hard it is to get a taxi back to the cruise ship tender area? Thanks in advance for any help!!!
Art123 Posted March 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2005 When we were in Grand Caymen last spring, we had thought about a taxi to Rum Point. When we got off the ship and asked about it, we were quoted a fare of almost $100 US each way. We changed our minds and went to 7 mile beach. Lil Mon Posted March 17, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2005 I have been reading up on rum point too, it sounds great. I think the best way to get there is by ferry. You need to meet the ferry at the Hyatt Regency Canal. It is a 30-40 minute ride. I'm not sure how far that is from the pier nor do I know how much it costs. http://www.caymans.com/Rum_Point.html let me know if you find out anymore info! cle1 Posted March 18, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 18, 2005 I am thinking we will do the Nativeways, 3 stop, snorkel tour, with lunch and beach time at Rum Point. That will only be $55, and they will meet us..no cabs. Sounds like the best idea for us.

Art123 Posted March 22, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 22, 2005 We went to the public beach next to the old Holiday Inn on Seven Mile Beach. I think the taxi was something like $4 each, and the ride was around 10 minutes.
