atlantis day pass?

need a vac.

Recommended Posts

we are spending the day in Nassau next Jan 29th. we are interested in going to Atlantis, but the cruise prices are really high. Also, from what i have read, after going through the tour, there isn't much time for enjoying the rest of it. so my questions are:

1) is my date during a black out time? or how do i find out, to see if day passes are even an option?

2)when does the "day" start (when can we enter with a day pass?)

3)since time is a factor...is the tour really worth the time it takes up? or is it better to explore on your own?

4)what is the best way to get there from the port? and how much?

i know this is a lot of questions but i am grateful for any advice.

Jan is considered off season, you shouldn't have a problem getting a pass. It may, however, be too cold to enjoy to property, so have a back up plan. Although some pools are said to be heated, most are not.

Pools open a 9am - waterpark opens at 10am

It's an hotel.. you don't need a tour, just a map. It's silly to have someone point out the "fake" features of the hotel and tell you the back story.. it's all fake.. go and enjoy the slides.

4)what is the best way to get there from the port? and how much?

$4 for a cab. Quick and easy.

Even if it's cool, you'll need sunscreen. Don't leave the ship without it.

Thank you so much for the information, you were as usual so helpful. I'm laughing because I didn't even think about how funny that really is to have a tour for the fake attractions. However I totally didn't think about how it could be too cold. I forget that it isn't that far from Florida. I will have to check the average temps to see if it is worth it.

again thanks.

Sorry to ask another thread question, but regarding taxi.... Can I just catch a taxi from the cruise dock and then have them take me to the Atlantis? Do I need a special pass to check out the casino and stroll arond the shops? Do I need to but a day pass?

You can catch a cab outside the port gate ($4pp) or take the water taxi ($3).

The casino, shopping and Marina Village are open to the public. All else you'll need a pass of some sort.

Hi, I too have a few questions about Atlantis as I will be there in February 2012. What I am specifically interested in is just "walkin' around" the property, doing some shopping in the hotel, visiting the casino, having drinks at the bars, and and taking a look at the pools, (and I hear they have an aquarium). We will not be "using" the pools, spas etc.

So, once I am dropped off by the taxi at Alantis do I need to "pay" (as in Day Pass) for any of the above that I want to do??? thanks!

To get out to the pool area they check if you have a wrist band so yes you would need a day pass. Also to be able to see the aquarium AKA The Dig you will need one of those wrist passes too. Last time I went I took a cab to the hotel and paid for a pass to see the aquarium and the pool grounds. Everywhere I went someone stopped me to make sure I was wearing the bracelet... It was annoying. I was not allowed to swim in the pools or the waterslides. Just allowed to walk around and see the outside exhibits (they have a turtle tank, stingray tank, and a shark tunnell... all outside). It's still a really neat place to explore even without being able to use the pools or the slides.

Thanks a lot for that info Venusleo, can you still get into the hotel to walk around, shop, sightsee and go to the casino & bars etc. without the day pass, or do you feel it's a lot less hassle to just get it and see what I can get into??? By the way, how much is the Day Pass anyway??? thanks again.

Yes you are more then welcome to walk around the casino, shops and lobby and any bars that are within that area, not the bars out by the pools or beach. This is what I suggest, go see what you can without buying a pass and if you decide that you would like to see more then you can buy the pass right there in the lobby area. I believe it was $35 this was a few years ago though. Honestly its a very pretty hotel but the good stuff is all outside and the aquarium.
