Rum Point

We were there a few years ago. It's about as far from the pier as you gan get. It's way out on one of the arms of the island. We went by ferry, across the bay. I guess you can get there by taxi, but it would be expensive.

It's a beautiful beach. One of the cleanest I have seen, and not too crowded.

We went over on an RCI tour.

We went to Rum Point several years ago (before Hurricane Ivan) and loved it. Uncrowded, with beautiful water and a couple of bars/restaurants.

Last month we were scheduled to stop at Cayman on the Conquest, and gave Rum Point some thought. Nativeway offers an excursion to Coral Garden, Stingray City and Rum Point, but the timing wouldn't work. The Conquest was leaving at 4:00 and the excursion was secheduled to return at 3:00. We thought that was cutting it too close.

As best I can recall, it is about a 45 minute drive from Georgetown. Cayman cabs are expensive, so I don't think that would be practical.
