allurenewbie Posted May 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2011 One of my family members is undecided about joining us. The cabin I have a reservation for can accomodate an extra person, but can this be done after the fact? Thanks for any info. This is our first family cruise. Babyberger Posted May 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2011 As long as the sailing is not at capacity you should be able to add the person without a problem. RCI explained to me that even though our room could hold more people the ship has a max capacity and if it was met before we added the extra person we would be out of luck. We added my best friend to our reservation for November and it actually generated a new reservation # just for her, even though she is in our room. RCI linked the two reservations so that there would be no problems. You shouldn't have any problems. Enjoy your cruise!
allurenewbie Posted May 30, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted May 30, 2011 Thanks. I'm a little nervous about adding him later. I think I'll just add him and then take him off if I have to. I think I'll get my money back if he is the third person in the room.
Babyberger Posted May 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2011 You can remove him with no penalty prior to final payment. I believe (and I could be wrong) that RCI does not have a separate cancellation policy for 3rd/4th passengers.
