Flip2cruise Posted March 31, 2005 #26 Share Posted March 31, 2005 How does a waiter or room steward know who has prepaid & who hasn't, so they would know when to pool?Connie They are given a computer printout that list which guest have pre-paid and also those that have removed tip from their S&S accounts. CinD Posted March 31, 2005 #27 Share Posted March 31, 2005 I just got off the Glory last Saturday. During the course of the week we saw our dinner (sitdown) waiter working in the morning at the breakfast (sitdown) dining room and on Lido deck at the buffet lunch. Essentially he worked all day long. He told us that he only had a few hours off each day, during the day. They work for many months at a time with very little free time and no days off. Compelling reasons to leave at least the full tip, regardless of where you eat.
MyImagination Posted March 31, 2005 #28 Share Posted March 31, 2005 How exactly did you let them know whether it was for the buffet staff or the waiters? Go to the pursers desk and let them know how you want your tips adjusted. I would really suggest you try the dining room a few evenings.
