HAL Favourites of Costa Rica Tour

We are going on the Zuiderdam, Sept. 24th and our port in Costa Rica is Caldera.

 

Considering doing the HAL tour "Favourites of Costa Rica". It is $199 so want to make sure it is worthwhile. Has anyone done this tour and would you recommend it, or can you suggest another tour company.

We took a similar tour but with a private tour company. Since we are a large group (15+), we contacted a private tour company and showed them the itinerary, and they arranged a tour with almost identical itinerary but with much cheaper price. IMHO, $199 is kind of expensive. However, the itinerary itself is excellent.

We used Charlie Soto. We were happy with the tour. The lunch they took us to was very delicious. I had only one complaint: The shopping stop they took us to on the way back to the cruise ship was not a good one: they sold mediocre goods with high prices.

 

BTW, we did a one-week land trip in Costa Rica many years ago with EcoAdventures (www dot ecoadventures dot com). It was great. You may want to check this out.
