softsands Posted January 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Can anybody speak about the kids areas on this boat, will be traveling with an 8 yo and 4 yo...any info or dailies would help... thanks I'm not sure what might have been implied by the original poster to have warranted a response I can only equate to crickets. (sorry, I'm gnarly, kids won't go to sleep). I've booked a family cruise on NCL's Gem next year, kids will be 7, 5, 4; would appreciate any insight as to the strength of the kids' program. I know that Nickelodeon will be active. Can NCL's program(s) actually entertain kids for two to three hour blocks (so I can actually get some r&r?). Can anyone share their practical experience? Thanks in advance for any responses. tstan9675 Posted January 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2012 I posted this elsewhere, but got no response. Can you help??? "Hey cruisers with kids, anyone go on Norwegian Gem to PR, St Maarten, St Thomas, Antigua, & Tortola? Any suggestions on what to do (or avoid) excursion wise? Anything close to port to do? Any car seat regulation we should know about if there is nothing close to port? Should we bring a car seat? Anyone who has traveled on the Gem with tips to share? DH and I have cruised before but first with DS who just turned 2 (not potty trained). Now that the holidays are over I need to focus on our cruise next month...dreading packing..."
