muskrat897 Posted March 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We will be visiting Aruba, Curacao, Costa Rica and Panama on an upcoming cruise. Are any of these ports known for steep gangways?:)
ashleysmm Posted March 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Everytime we've been to Aruba the gangway had 2-3 steps at the end, Costa Rica and Panama Canal were standard lenght and fairly easy to navigate. We mainly sail Celebrity so this is what I've based the info on. Carol
kitty9 Posted March 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2005 If the gangway is steep, you can request to be let out on the level where they receive their provisions. That gangway is generally even with the dock.
Queenie2 Posted March 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2005 depends on the cruise line, not necessarily the port. Some are steep and some even have steps. Candy

Shebbieal Posted March 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2005 We did Panama Canal on the Brilliance. I didn't have any probs with the gangways, I am also in a chair. Brilliance is very accessible!! Sherry
