Ronath Posted March 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Does anyone know the latest on the renovation of the International Market Place? I think they're supposed to start this year sometime?
Ka Honu Posted March 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2005 I was gonna try to answer this post but by the time I scrolled all the way down through your (admittedly impressive) "bona fides," I forgot the question. Oh yeah, the International Market Place. Everyone is kinda hangin' waiting to see when they're actually going to begin renovation. Management ain't saying but most people (including some tenants) figure on late this year. You should know that this has happened before. The only difference this time is that there's actually a plan for the project. Welcome to the great "wait and see."
spleen93 Posted March 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2005 Another one of those, "it'll happen when it happens". :) Spleen

KTE Posted March 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Is there an artis's rendering available? When we were there in June, there wasn't even a sign announcing that it was even being planned.KTE
Ka Honu Posted March 21, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2005 An early version of "the plan" is at http://gohawaii.about.com/library/weekly/blmarket_place_plans.htm
Ronath Posted March 21, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted March 21, 2005 So if we come for a visit next year it will be a mess there I guess. I used to like sitting upstairs having a cool one at Coconut Willie's (I think that's right) and people watching. Ka Honu, we used to be stationed at MCAS Kaneohe 1977-1981 and loved it.
