Solstice Aqua Class

I don't know if I am looking in the wrong place, but I can't find much information about the Persian Gardens and Spa. In Aqua Class, the passenger is entitled to unlimited use of this area and I'm not sure of what is included. Is this the indoor air conditioned solarium? an adult indoor pool? The person I called at Celebrity Lines was not helpful; she just didn't have information about this. I read a review of the ship and someone said that the heated stone seats (for example) are laughable; they form the waiting room for spa treatments, not a spot in which you would ordinarily relax. Sounds like more than it is. Has anyone been there and used these facilities? Is it worth the difference over Concierge Class and basic verandah rooms? We are not spa people but do need shade and seats we can count on for sea days. We truly regretted not buying space as soon as we saw it in the tented and private Solarium (Princess Lines) on a previous trip. It was the only shady spot on the ship and was limited to 40 people!

Thanks in advance,

Carolegz

Aqua Class cruisers have unlimited access to the Persian Gardens and Relaxation Room. The Persian Gardens is an area to the side of the spa (certainly not a waiting area) where there are heated tile loungers (10) a sauna and a steam room. Other passengers must pay an additional fee to use the space. It's not somewhere to spend the day, it's more like a relaxing area to go for 30 minutes or so but we enjoyed it tremdously. The Relaxation Room is one floor directly below the spa with padded lounge chairs. As you've already heard, that space is available as a waiting area for anyone with a spa appointment. However, neither one is a space with much traffic walking through. Both rooms do have large windows with views of the ocean outside (or port, as it where).

Since you haven't asked about it, I assume you already know that Aqua Class cruisers also use a different dining room, Blu. Most AQ passengers come back just to be able to eat in Blu.

There was plenty of shade in the solarium unless you were looking in the afternoon...we were on solstice in January ....Persian gardens is not somewhere you would sit every day

There are also larger round loungers by the pool where you can adjust the sun exposure by turning them

I would absolutely second this post. We used the steam room and the heated ceramic lounges maybe four times on our cruise and enjoyed them. But that is not why you would do Aqua class. The real benefit is Blu. We did spend a lot of time in the solarium and loved it. And it's open to everyone.

is there a pool in the solarium that anyone can use?

There is a pool in the solarium, and two hot tubs. But if memory serves the solarium is restricted to adults. There are no cabin restrictions.

Here's a picture of the Solstice solarium taken in April.

The hot tubs don't show up because they are right next to the port and starboard sides.

Yes. The Aqua Spa Cafe is there as well with a lighter fare menu. Both are available to all passengers. The pool may be adults only, I'm not sure.
