POA question for past cruisers

When the ships arrives back into Honolulu, what is the latest you

can disembark? Also, has anyone done the 4 hr pearl harbor tour that

takes you back to the airport? I read a review that said they were not able

to get tickets for the boat out to the memorial...has anyone had that

problem?

I can't say for certain, but I think the latest you could stay on board the ship is until 10:00 or so. They start disembarkation by 7:45 as there is no customs to go through.

We didn't take a tour after our cruise as we flew out around noon.

I imagine you wouldn't be able to get tickets out to the memorial. They're free and first come, first served. Therefore unless you're there early, you won't get tix.

HTH a little bit!

Believe the above poster is correct -10:00 am

We did the tour on our own. Got a cab to Pearl, did the tour and then got a cab to the hotel. We departed late afternoon and had plenty of time.

Tickets are first come so better is safer, although I think even without the ferry trip out to the memorial it was a very memorable trip. The first time we went to Pearl Harbor we were unable to get tickets and we still loved it. Of course, it isn't quite the same since there are not survivors doing all the tours anymore, but it is a "must do" for Hawaii.

We stayed aboard the POA until about 10:00am.

Our flight out was not until 10:00pm (poor planning on my part.)

We discovered that we could "store" our luggage for about $50.00, but we could rent a car for the day for $37!

We stored our luggage in the trunk and spent the day driving around the island. Frankly, it was one of the best days of our cruise.

It's an island, and so as long as you keep the ocean on your left, you will eventually return to HNL!
