judykn Posted July 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Hi, Just booked on the 9-day Enchantment of the Seas out of Baltimore in March!! So excited!! Just wanted to know the times for the shore excursion in Port Canaveral to go to one of the Disney parks. It has 10 hours on the excursion description and in port from 10am to 10pm. Any other info about this cruise would be great! We have cruised before by have never cruised out of Baltimore or been to Key West. Thanks! Colorado Buffalo Posted July 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2011 allow 1 hour 15 min to 1 hour 1/2 each way travel time- choose what you want to see- the day goes by very fast & depending on crowds you probably won't ride as many things as you would hope to-
judykn Posted July 3, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted July 3, 2011 Thanks for your reply! Do you know if the excursion leaves right at 10 am or later? Just trying to figure out if we should plan a late lunch at Epcot rather than dinner. I know from going to Disney that we should book the lunch/dinner at 180 days out to get into Le Cellier, which is our favorite restaurant in Epcot. Love planning even though the cruise is awhile away :) Judy
Cshgrand Posted July 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2011 Don't know where you originate from in USA or what kind of party you are travelling with as what we did in blatimore may not be of much interest but in case... Take amtrack to dc and go so national air and space, shopping in lovely mall near Arlington and general touristy stuff. Amtrack was cheap and quick. In baltimore we went to great shopping outlet (something mills near the airport) and hit port discovery kids science and play centre followed by lunch at cheesecake factory. Enchantement is lovely ship though, have a great time!

Judy The Port of Baltimore is one of the easiest ports to use. The Enchantment is a nice ship, has a wonderful crew, and provides a great vacation. The Orlando shore excursions are the first off the ship (if I remember correctly). They would probably be fine if going while the kids are in school. Those that did the Orlando activities during spring break were very disappointed. The lines didn't allow for more than two or three rides before it was time to return. Have you been to the Kennedy Space Center? You can write your representative for free tickets. Wandering around Key West on your own is fun. I enjoyed the Hemingway House with all of it's six toed cats. The chickens wandering around are unique. Our family did a ship snorkel trip that we all enjoyed on one visit. Check with your ship's roll call to see what others have planned.
elhenry Posted July 4, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2011 We sailed spring break (April) on Enchantment this year. I will echo the others' comments about the lines for Disney. The ship will get you off as soon as possible, but by the time you get there, you will be standing in lines big time. If it is Spring break, fuhgeddaboutit. Our ship skipped Coco Cay for weather related reasons and docked at PC at 7:00, rather than 10. My sister and her family were on their way to Harry Potter by 7:30. She said she could not imagine what it would have been like had they actually left at 10. But it's a great ship and you'll love it... el henry
