Casino Questions

Leaving on the Equinox next Friday!

Can I use my seapass card for the slots or do I need US $?

If I participate in a slot pull or tournament can I pay with sea pass?

Just trying to figure if I really need US $ on my med cruise.

Thanks

All slot play at Celebrity's on-board casinos is initially funded in cash using US Dollars only... On Solstice-Class ships like Equinox, slot machine cash-outs are issued by voucher; those can be redeemed for cash [uS$] at the Casino Cage or can be used--like cash--to fund play on another slot machine...

The previous poster is correct; you can take cash advances--I believe there's a daily limit of $2000 if your credit card limit is sufficient--against your SeaPass [and in turn, your credit card] at the Casino Cage... You will, however, be subject to a 3% convenience fee [but not cash advance fees assessed by your credit card company]...

There are ATMs aboard--while in Europe, it seems to me that the one in the casino dispenses Dollars and the one near Guest Relations dispenses Euros--which also carry a convenience fee [uS$6, I believe] per transaction regardless of withdrawal amount [and subject to a daily withdrawal limit established by your bank]...

Tournament entry fees [and Bingo, for that matter] can only be purchased via your SeaPass [like other on-board expenses other than casino cash advances, no surcharge is assessed]...

Is this new? I've always paid cash (or chips) to enter Hold'em tournaments.

For Hold 'Em tournament you can either use your own cash or obtain cash off your seapass for no surcharge. At least it worked that way on Equinox.

Perhaps I should have been more specific to say that Slot Tournament entry fees and Bingo can only be paid by SeaPass... Unless the practice has changed [and I have never known it to be different] since April, I am certain...

I don't participate in Poker Tournaments and, if that process is different, I stand corrected...
