GHChik Posted July 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2011 When you visit Charlottetown you will have to plan your day so you can have the famous Cows ice cream, but you will also not want to miss the delicious Poffertjes (dutch treat.) They are small "pancakes" drenched in butter and sprinkled with confectioners sugar...delectable! The shop is adorable (wonderful coffee) and the people are super friendly! We want everyone to make this a stop in port...we split a small order and shared a coffee (because we had previously shared an ice cream at Cows;) Thankfully we had made this a "walking" port and made our way across town to Victoria park and back! seabees Posted July 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2011 Thank you for the info you pointed out in Charlottestown, PEI. We enjoy eating at the local restaurants, pubs, ice cream shops, etc so if you have any other places you found on your cruise, please let us know. These ports alway offer us great opportunities to eat lobster rolls, mussels, sample different types of chowder, blueberry pie, etc so we're looking forward to this cruise next week on 19 July. :)
