Huckelberry cruiser Posted March 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2005 We're here ! Just won 300.00 in casino ! Half Moon Cay today, after a few Rumrunners the water did not seem too cold :D Pretty. We are in Cabin 4180 an Aft suite with wrap around deck. Awesome:p I will say if yo do not like vibration- do not get an Aft cabin. We do not mind and find it helps us sleep. But " the house is a rocking " when we are at sea. Great food and have met some wonderful people on board----God we love to cruise. Thanks so much to all you experianced cruisers on this board who have shared sooooo much information and tips with us. Makes us seem like old hands. Time for sleep.

I saw a side pick of it and the balcony looks a lot shorter. http://homepage.mac.com/tlassek/PhotoAlbum22.html

cruznon Posted March 22, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 22, 2005 Huckleberry, We loved the small vibration and the rocking movement--slept so great!! Yes, those aft balconies are wonderful. I agree with you, "God, we love to cruise!" I felt that comment so completely. I think I "gushed" those words a few times on our last cruise. Isn't the sailway great? When the pilot boat pulls away and the engines "kick in"--from an aft balcony it's just a thrill! Thanks for sharing....you made me smile.
Huckelberry cruiser Posted March 23, 2005 Author #10 Share Posted March 23, 2005 Won the 300.00 on 1.00 Wheel of fortune. Have not been in the Lido yet to see Hunky Dorry ( we love breakfast and lunch in cabin:D ) God how we love room service. The deck on 4180 is huge, if it is not as large as the others it can't matter. Did St. Thomas today and took an open air taxi with Luke-nice guy. 20.00 per person for two + hour tour. He stoped next to the airport and a policeman from Miami was on our cruise and Taxi and was filming it while Luke Explained why they enlarged it and the bad crash years ago when all of a sudden we were surrounded by TSA agents with guns ( not drawn ) wanting to confiscate his camera. we were all given a lecture about the laws against taking pictures of ports of entries and airports now ( felt like we were in old East Germany ). Nobody had informed us our the taxi drivers of this. So we went up the hill overlooking the ocean and airport and all took pictures !!!! Still having a great time and meeting wonderful people from everywhere. Tommorrow Tortola ! Gotta go room service comes early in the morning. Already planning our next cruise.

Huckelberry cruiser Posted March 24, 2005 Author #14 Share Posted March 24, 2005 Drinks are plenty strong enough-try the RUMRUNNERS! Was very dissapointed last night in the Vista dinning room. All they asked was for men to wear a jacket. Many men had on golf shirts, flower shirts, one guy had on a baseball cap and a t-shirt. I hope formal night will be enforced tonight. The tone is so lovely then the guy next to you looks like he underdressed for McDonalds. There are so many places to eat ( lido, room service ) it is sad some people can not be courteous for 3 nights or so of a cruise. Oh well, just had to get that off my chest. Wine tasting time ! then Bingo !
SeaYa52 Posted March 24, 2005 #15 Share Posted March 24, 2005 Been enjoying your reports - as we pack to leave....so excited .....we start driving today after school gets out.....yeeehaaaaaa!!!!!!!! A few questions - will be taking my laptop so I can check. What day was "HighTea". Was the wine tasting today? (Thursday) what did you think......I love wine tastings and am NOT a wine snob - I just like to try new wines - so, if you went - what type of wines did they serve for the tasting? Did you enjoy it? Do they only have one during the week? How was the weather and water temp? Thanks - we'll be waiting to board when you get off. :-) Sandy Charlotte, NC
