Winning at the Casino-Have you??

Recommended Posts

On my first cruise on the Conquest back in 2004 I tried the nickle slots and have to say, I did win. When I noticed I was hitting and winning small amounts, I took notice and realized I had cashed out on 6 of 7 machines I had played and stop counting thinking my luck would run out. A couple of times the attendant would have to handpay me when the amount was a little over $100.00...I couldn't figure out that part.

Now on the Glory cruise, not so lucky. I donated a little more than I wanted to.

However on Carnival I am 0 for 4 ...maybe my next cruise *shrug* :D

I am incredibly lucky sometimes. I typically can win several hundred dollars during the week. I take 1/2 of what I've won and pay against my S&S card and the other 1/2 I play $1 slots with.

2008 was a stellar year and I won a total of $5500 on 3 cruises. $3500 of that money was on two different $1 Wheel of Fortune machines one on the Glory and one on the Valor.

On the Ecstasy in February I won $100 on a superbowl pot that our roll call was running, so I took that to the $5 machine and walked away with $600.

On Valor in May, I won $700. Approx half from slots and half from 3 card poker. Actually had more but put it back in. Was very happy that came home with me (plus my bank I brought to play with).

I've won slot tournaments on three cruises totaling approx. $1500.00. I won at bingo for $2100.00 and on the same cruise I won at one of the three slot tournaments. It was a good day on that cruise. :D

On our first cruise DH won $1500 on the $1 slots the first night. While he was waiting to get the pay out our DS won $800 on the slot right next to him.

On our 3rd cruise I won the Slot Tournament. $20 entry fee and won $650.

I don't play bingo, nor gamble in the casino, so not many opportunities for me to win. Except I do play the slot tournaments. I won once, but I don't remember how much it was...$300?..$500?

My husband, on the other hand, has won quite a bit playing blackjack or poker. Several times, he's earned enough to pay off our onboard account (and that ain't cheap!) and/or the cruise itself (the 3 night cruise, not a week cruise). He's also surprised me with some nice gifts from the shops.

But his biggest one-time win happened when he was doing so poorly in Blackjack, he decided to take a break from the blackjack table and take $100 to a slot machine...which he very rarely plays. After putting in about $40 into the machine he hit it for $4,000! Ended up being a very good cruise! :)

Hit $1,080 on a $1 slot on the Legend in December. It paid all of our S&S charges for the week, and most of my gambling was on the S&S card. Sweeeeet! :)

In early May on the Ecstasy, I lost money every day until the last sea day, then I went up about $300. On that same cruise, one lady won over $5,000 twice playing video poker!

I've been on five Carnival cruises. I've hit the $1 Wheel of Fortune for $1000 on each cruise. And, no, I've never gone home with that $1000. Bit it is more fun to play using their money.

On my first cruise I hit for $800 as soon as the casino opened. The machine clunked out 800 tokens. While in line to cash the tokens i put 3 in a machine and won another $700. I was up $1500 in the first five minutes. Saved enough to pay the s&s and take home some. Now if I go home even I'm happy.

On my last cruise on the Spirit, we were in the casino and heard screaming. Some woman from Canada hit a jackpot on a nickle slot machine and won $33,000. Because she wasn't a US citizen, no taxes.

Just got back from Alaska on the Spirit. All video poker. My GF hit 4 Aces w/ kicker for $1000 and the same hand for $500. I hit 4 Aces for $200 and 4 dueces w/ kicker for $200... Does that count?

:D:D:D
