We booked the San Luis Resort. They are very helpful and friendly there. Great Reviews too. They also have a shuttle to the cruise. Rooms are nice.

It is beautiful first class hotel!

You should not be dissapointed.

Great pool scene at H20 Bar.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. Never been to Galveston before so no clue about this hotel..but I do know they have a shuttle to the pier which is $20 per room (way less that what RCI was offering)! We didnt need anything fancy, so hopefully this hotel will be nice enough. We are booked the day before and after our cruise. Anyone who has stayed here or lives in Galveston have any thoughts on it? :D

It is good hotel and fairly new. Based on your comments you should be happy with the hotel. It has big palapa bar and and has restaurants very near by! And you can walk to many things near by . Keep asking questions.

It seems that many of the popular hotels in Galveston have gone to a 2 night minimum for weekends. I called a couple of days ago and was told that this is going to be standard for the Hilton. We stayed there last year and everything was great. The parking for the week went great, but two night minimum can be a little costly since we would not be staying at the hotel on Friday night. Many of us are considering staying in Houston and parking at the pier for the week.
