Internet packages

debt

Will be on the transatlantic on the Epic in October and was debating how difficult it is to access the internet on a TA. Is it worth buying a minutes package or would it be better to compose messages off line, and just buy as needed minutes to post messages online?

How often do you intend to use the internet. It is a satellite system which can be unreliable and slow as well as expensive (about 75c a minute without a package).

You should definitely be composing emails off line and if that is all you are doing then it may be enough to go with the minute rate. However if you use the internet cafe you may also find it takes 5 minutes or more just to get to the point where you can send a message and you cannot compose off line.

I have found wifi on my laptop to be more reliable and quicker but my experience has been with Cunard and Princess (same provider MTN).
