The official policy is no food or beverages to be brought onboard. However there are numerrous accounts on here of people bringing drinks onboard without any issue. I've twice brought alcohol onboard, very obviously in hand luggage and they did not take it from me. You do run the risk that you'll get some one on security who enforces the rules though.

You can bring soda...

We brought 24 caffeine-free colas, which they don't sell on the ship. We Put it in a bag and checked it in, and had no problems.

Alcohol.... it's a case of smuggle it and take your chances.
