libra45 Posted August 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Cruising next month Sep 9 on Holland America to New England/Canada. :) Need advise on shore excursions for the following ports: Sydney-Charlottetown-Saguenay. Ship departs 5PM in each port. Need advise whether to book through the ship or are there reliable tours by or on the pier? Appreciate all/any advise
Rare Waynetor Posted August 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2011 If you go to the 'ports of call' section of cruise critic and look under either New England or Canada you can search for info on those ports to see what others have done. If you have not signed into your ships roll call you should- see CC roll call section, your cruise line, your ship and look for a post with your sailing date. You can communicate with others on the same sailing to get ideas or share an excursion. I have done a cruise from Quebec to NY but did not have the same ports as you. For Saguenay we just cruised up the fjord without stopping. It has steep cliffs and you may see Beluga whales where the fjord meets the St Lawrence.
