marsalilass Posted August 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Hello! We leave in 18 days for our next cruise! My hubsand and I are not new to crusing and this will be our 2nd time to Alaska. . . but this will be the first time we have a child with us. Our son is 14 months old. Anyone have some helpful advise/tips to share on making this a pleasant experience for everyone? We'll also be taking my 14 year old sister with us (yaaay for babysitters! lol) and, since my cousin is getting married on the cruise, we'll have several other family members on the ship. We usually do an inside cabin when it's just the two of us, but since we'll have 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 teen we sprung for the Family Suite in hopes it will make things a little easier. Oh, and this will be our first time on Norweigian. We've done 5 other cruises, but they were all on Royal Caribean. How "family friendly" is Norweigian? TIA!!!! Backstage Traveler Posted August 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2011 We have sailed NCL in Hawaii, Europe and the Caribbean, and like the freestyle cruising they offer. Also the cabin configurations are the best we have been able to find! The family suite is very handy for travelling with kids, since they have their own separate bedroom. Also you will have butler and concierge service, and don't feel shy to ask either of them for anything you need, like milk, food, etc (the butler) or dinner reservations (the concierge). Have a great cruise!
