Cruisin Sal Posted August 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2011 Has any one been at the Chef's Table on the Coral this summer? I would be interested in hearing how it was.
Rare many cruises Posted August 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2011 Has any one been at the Chef's Table on the Coral this summer? I would be interested in hearing how it was. We were at the Chef's Table on the Coral in April and it was wonderful...well worth the money!
RyGuy84 Posted August 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2011 What is the chef's table? Is it on the island princess too? How much does it cost?
WeBeGone Posted August 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2011 What is the chef's table? Is it on the island princess too? How much does it cost? It's $75 per person and is offered at least once per cruise. You must be on the ship very early and call in immediately as it is first come first served. http://www.princess.com/learn/onboard/food_dining/chefs_popup/index.html and by using the "search" function, you get this: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/search.php?searchid=23929402
boomerone Posted August 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2011 I believe it's on every Princess sailing. We did it on Sapphire in April 2011 and will try to get on the list every time we go to sea. Well worth the $75 fee that includes the cookbook, a photo, and an outstanding dining experience and galley tour. Seeing our sommelier remove the cork from a champagne bottle with a special knife was a thrill. We treat the event as if it was a shore excursion. Another great experience is the "breakfast on the balcony", it's special!

tigercat Posted August 15, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2011 Does that include a tip? On Carnival we paid and gave a tip only to find out that the amount included a tip. tigercat
rdsqrl Posted August 15, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2011 Does that include a tip? On Carnival we paid and gave a tip only to find out that the amount included a tip. tigercat A tip is not expected; in fact, there are so many staff waiting on you that it would take another hour just to hand around the tips! Seriously, I saw no one tipping when I did it and it was pretty obvious that they were not expecting us to do so. Enjoy; it's absolutely fantastic!
