Info about Sunset Beach please!

I'm going to Grand Cayman on a cruise in April. The guys like to snorkel, the girls like to drink. Will Sunset Beach work for all of us? How far is it from the dock? How much is the taxi? Anything else?

Sunset Beach? I've not heard of place by that name in Cayman.

 

Sunset House Hotel, about a mile south of the cruise tender docks, has good snorkeling offshore. The bar there, My Bar, is a popular spot amongst locals. If you ask nicely they probably wouldn't mind having you use the hotel pool.

 

What they don't have at Sunset House is a beach. No sand. The shoreline is sharp rocks of ironshore though concrete walkways are in place leading to the ladders used to get in and out of the water.
