Summit Deck 2

We were just off the Summit & wanted to post our experience w/Deck 2 or The Continental Deck. Prior to sailing I could not find a lot of info so I'd like to share for others.

It is probably the cheapest deck to book, but we absolutely loved the location!! Our room was midship, quiet, & calm.

Deck 2 is the lowest deck w/ cabins (the medical center is on Deck 1 and you enter the ship on Deck 1). Only cabins are on Deck 2. Decks 3,4, & 5 are very common areas where the shore excursions, concierge, movie cinema, dining room, casino, photo gallery, and theater are (all very convenient--but not anything that bothered us). We were 2 cabins in from the midship stairs & elevators and traffic was not a problem at all.

You use deck 10 a lot for the pool & 24 hr dining, but I would not want to ever stay on deck 9. It is right below the busiest part of the ship. I guess decks 6,7, & 8 would be good, but they are much more expensive.

If you are just looking for a room for 2-4 people, I would recommend deck 2. We had 5 people in two rooms--which gave us 2 bathrooms & 2 tvs. It worked out great & cost less than one family suite on a higher floor.
