How far in advance to book tours?

Hi everyone. First time visit with teenagers next summer. Already starting research(Type A LOL). How soon would i need to schedule a tour? And any advice on beaches with waves and a good atmosphere for teenagers? Thanks for any help!!

I have a cruise in Jan and just book our tour for there. This cruise was booked last Jan and by March had all Islands but St. Martin booked

I beleive that all booking for tours should be booked as early as the tour companies allow. Which I found out the hard way after our 1 st. Carib cruise.
