new year cruise on Jade

Anyone any idea what to expect from the new year cruise on the Jade. Do they add anything extra for News Eve or at sea on New Years Day. and I don't mean alkeselters and paracetamol.:)

We were on the Jade almost two years ago for NYE. We had a party in the GV, but there were many other public celebrations on board, with countdowns, balloons, hats, confetti, etc - I think the biggest one was in the atrium area. Midnight was marked with loud blasts from the ship's horn. They pre-sold special sparkling wines and champagnes if you wanted to purchase a bottle to celebrate. Can't really recall the next day, but I *think* they had a special brunch (maybe the Jazz Brunch?) for sale that day. We didn't have great weather on NYE (somewhere in the Med), so there were no outdoor celebrations - you might fare better!

Thanks for that I guess you had a good time on NYE anyway if you don't remember much about NYD looks like I may just need the paracetamol.

We sailed on New Years day this year and there wasn't anything really special going on aboard the Sun. The holiday decorations were still up and they were beautiful but nothing in the way of special parties etc.
