Anything to do in Freeport?

Our ship will be docked in Freeport for the day in a few weeks. I'm traveling with 5 friends to celebrate one of the girl's 40th bday. What is there to do in Freeport? I'm having a hard time finding anything fun. We're not interested in any tours. Should we just stay on the boat??? We're also going to be in Nassau for a day where we'll be getting a day pass to the Sheraton. Please help! Thanks! :)

I think it will be a few days before we even know if Nassau and Freeport are going to be able to accept ships

I would never stay on the ship in Freeport, but that's me. If you're not interested in a tour, there is shopping, restaurants, a casino and beach access at Our Lucaya. A $5.00 fare in a shared cab.

The port itself is a busy industrial port. At the port is a small straw market, bar, and gift shop. Not much, but worth 1/2 hour to walk around.
