3.14 Posted August 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2011 Here is some info we collected during our Baltic cruise (14 aug 2011). We took a GPS position in each port of call. All positions were taken from the balcony of our stateroom (6035), and we indicate if our stateroom was facing the quay or water. If you don't know how to use GPS waypoints (like N52.3782657671 E4.9134135622), here's one simple way: Go to Google Maps (http://map.google.com), copy/paste the waypoint (e.g. N52.3782657671 E4.9134135622) in the search box and click the search button. The green arrow will indicate the GPS waypoint. Amsterdam (quay) N52.3782657671 E4.9134135622 Rostock (quay) N54.1462736620 E12.1057663809 Stockholm (water) N59.3162191591 E18.1050629441 Helsinki (quay) N60.1483296650 E24.9208954262 Sint-Petersburg (water) N59.9522382351 E30.1848700253 Tallinn (water) N59.4507493820 E24.7621421156 Copenhagen (quay) N55.6985255023 E12.6003002303 We took a shuttle bus in some ports of call. Here are the GPS positions of the busstop in the city: Warnemunde N54.1791334889 E12.0787875337 Helsinki N60.1660731791 E24.9438420143 Tallinn N59.4386088219 E24.7533875788 We found free public WiFi in a couple of ports of call. Warnemunde: in the park near the shuttle bus stop (Kurhausstrasse). Stockholm: in the Wasa museum (entrance to the museum is not free, but I believe you can access the WiFi hotstop outdoors). Tallinn: near the Viru Gates Copenhagen: in the City Hall on H.C. Andersens boulevard.
