Vancouver Car Rentals

Does all car rentals downtown Vancouver shuttle you to cruise pier? I can not seem to locate this information anywhere. We would need to rent from a company who offers the complimentary shuttles to and from the pier.

I am looking at Hertz at 396 MARINE DRIVE SW

VANCOUVER, BC V5X 2R6

or Thrifty at VANCOUVER, DOWNTOWN, BC, CA Address: 413 SEYMOUR STREET

Most of the car rental companies will shuttle you to Canada Place - if you are on one of the few ships that will berth at Ballantyne Pier I can`t answer for that location.

The Thirty location is only about four blocks from the pier - for HERTZ you want the one in the 1200 Block Granville - Enterprise is there as well - there is an Avis in the 700 Block Hornby and a large Budget car rental in the 400 W Georgia block.

Even if they don`t shuttle you - all of the locations that I have mentioned are only about a $10.00 cab ride to Canada Place.

Putterdude and a couple of the other locals should be along later - they have more experienced with this question than I do

Hope this helps

Cheers

To my knowledge all of the downtown locations will shuttle you. Hertz on SW Marine Dr. likely would not as it is about a 25 min drive to the pier from that location. The downtown Hertz, Avis and Budget locations are all about a 7 block easy walk to Canada Place, the trick would be to check you luggage at the pier together with your companion(s), drive to the location then walk back. National does have a location on the ground floor of the Pan Pacific hotel which forms part of Canada Place.

Thank you both for your posts, this is the information I was looking for, and so greatly appreciated.

We are on the Volendam sailing May 02, 2012 out of Canada Place, and flying in a few days early to go to Whistler.
