Sheraton vs. British Colonial Hilton??

It rained the first half of our Nassau day. We didn't even get off of the ship until almost noon. We decided to go to Atlantis casino for about 2 hours then we took a ferry to down town and the Jitney to Whyndam for their casino. It was much smaller than Atlantis but much more comfortable!! While at Whyndam we walked both properties BEAUTIFUL. Had it not been for the rain I believe we would have had a great time with the day room!!

Hope this helps

Did you prebook the day room then cancel? Or can you do the day room as a walk in?

Thanks. Thinking about this since I'd like my dad (84) to come ashore, but don't want to wear him out on the beach! Our other option is to just stay on the ship in Nassau.

Again thanks!

I decided not to prebook I had a feeling about the rain. When I spoke to the people at Sheraton they said you can walk right up and get a room. If you decide to just get the day pass with your dad there are plenty of shaded places!!!! I wish I had a chance to tour the Hilton they say it is real nice and not as many children. I would not recommend staying on the ship. Nassau is beautiful and I am sure you will find something.

Have done both. Enjoy both about the same. Sheraton is a little less crowded and jet skis can be rented there. You have to catch a bus (very easy) to sheraton and can walk to BCH. We are going again next Oct on b2b and will go to the Sheraton as it is my husband and I and I like the less crowded thing for us. The 2nd leg of the trip we will go to Nassau also but will probably stay onthe ship as we will have been to HMC and rented a cabana.

The BCH does not have a day room, per se.. you could book a room for the day, but since check in isn't until 3pm, it's possible you're room won't be ready when you need it. Plus, you would pay all the taxes, gratuities, surcharges and resort charges that are charged ALL paying guests.

If a day room is needed, I suggest the sheraton. You can book them in advance, and they are ready early in the day.

No tax, no extra charges (except xtra ppl in the room).

This may be a dumb question, but are there restrooms available for day pass users at BCH? Everything I've seen just says towels, chairs, floats and vouchers. Thanks!:o

Great! Would you recommend this as a good beach day in Nassau?

I would recommend it if your looking for a nice quiet place to sit & relax. It was a 10 min walk, we got our day passes and were on the beach in no time. Its a nice beach. Clean. Looks out on the where the ships are docked. We sat there and watched a few ships "spin around and park". We thought it was cool to watch. The food & drinks were decent. I would definately do it again.
