Summit Pool questions

Can anyone describe the pools onboard. Is there a wave pool? What exactly is the T-pool like. I think its saltwater. I have ambulatory issues. Is it easy to enter? What are these " bars to rest on" ? I'm hoping I will be able to use it. Thanks

No wave pool. All have salt water.

The T- Pool is heated. Sometimes just warm and sometimes nearly as hot as a spa. The bars at the side are at a level where you can sit or lie on them and your head will be above water. sitting or lying in this area is similar to being in a Jacuzzi Spa. There are also two pipes in other areas which have water streaming from them, like two huge faucets, but with stream of the warm water that is very wide. You can stand under them and let the water hit your shoulders and neck and it is strong enough to have a massaging effect. Also room to just float and soak a bit.

 

There are steps into the pool with railings but it can still be a little shaky if the ship is in rough waters. Not much of an issue if it is in calm waters. For those wheelchair bound I believe there is a lift into the pool - although I might be thinking of a lift into one of the two nearby jacuzzi type spas.

Thanks Lsimon. That gives me a good idea what to expect. I think I will be able to use the T pool given the bars to sit on as opposed to a regular pool.

The Tpool is heavenly. It is a great place to relax and get revitalized. I never found it extremely hot, but very relaxing. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did/do.

Take an old bathing suit for T-pool as the minerals in it tend to fade out bathing suits.
