Mr Princess Posted September 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2011 Recently bought shares in Princess (CCL) and Royal Caribbean (RCL). If you purchase 100 min. in either company, you are entitled to On Board Credits as a shareholder. It is well worth it if you are planning on doing a few cruises in the future. The shares at the moment are about 31 USD (CCL) and 24USD (RCL), and you have to purchase them from an international broker. I used e-trade...easy! The OBC's vary dependent on the cabin and length of cruise - anything from $50 to $250 per cabin. A very good return on investment IMHO, especially if you do a few in a year! :D MP. Just be aware that you can not combine your OBC from Shareholder Benefits with any RCI C&A benefit........i.e., OBC from booking on board, Balcony Discount, C&A Savings Certificate. tiyana4 Posted September 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2011 The OBC is definitely a good deal. I agree with the previous poster, RCL is more restrictive than CCL but still good to have both; especially on the longer cruises.
