Cagney's - Crab Legs

I am sure that someone here can answer this one...

When opting for the Alaskan King Crab Legs in Cagney's -- what kind of portion is it? Skimpy or AMPLE? Are they already split/cracked, or is there work to do?

Cheryl loves them, and almost ordered them last time - but felt it would be messy in an otherwise somewhat refined dining venue.

In my case, I tried the Prime Rib - and was just as let down on the Epic as I was on the Sky. Can anyone tell me if those were rare events --- does NCL know how to prepare Prime Rib? On the Sky it had grill marks on it (can you say either STEAK or reheated from yesterday?) - on the Epic, it was simply TOUGH!

THANKS!

Tom

Well two things, the crab legs are not an entree, they are an add on with you main choice. I've had 3 of the best prime rib dinners on the Spirit in Cagney's!

No grill marks, just a good slice (18-20oz) of medium rare beef. I make sure it is one of my choices on every cruise. We did have someone at a table close to us last year that complained about their prime rib, but they ordered it well done, and that did it in.

Well - that explains the appetizer sized portion!

I will try again - I am stubborn that way. I have had some of the BEST prime rib on Carnival, where I have literally enjoyed it 40+ times (even bringing my own horseradish, as theirs is usually too mild)! I have had a couple of "so-so" ones with them, but none were as bad as BOTH that I have encountered on NCL (I order them Rare to M-Rare).

I am on a mission! ;)

:D
