jtb123 Posted March 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2005 Does anyone know of any of the river cruising ships that have balconies that do the eastern europe ports? My husband smokes and so far we have not been able to find a ship that allows smoking in their cabins unless they have a balcony. Thanks
cmthomas Posted March 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2005 The Grand Circle ships have tiny little balconies on the uppermost deck. They have two deck chairs sitting on them facing each other. The balcony is not good for much other than a smoke or a quick look to see where you are. The main value is that it allows the sliding door to be left open and fresh air to come into the cabin during the night for sleeping. Much better than air conditioning in my humble opinion. The balconies are the width of the cabin but only about 30" deep. Clarence
Joyfredsblondecruiser Posted March 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2005 Thank you CmThomas : We have the Grand Circle Harmony ship booked for the Christmas Market Cruise in Dec down the Danube. I did book a balcony and I think it will be nice. Fred and I do not smoke but the fresh air will be lovely. Happy Sailing, Joy
