What to do in Nassau?

CRUISING71

It is our first time in Nassau. Is there anything to do around the port? Can we walk around town and will it be safe?

We didn't want to do the all inclusive hotel, because we are only there from 8:30 to 2pm.

Is there are tour that can be recommended? We are a family of 4, kids are 10 and 15.

Thank you,

Tibbie

There is some shopping right near the port. The Nassau Pirate Museum is a short walk from port, cost is $12 for adults, not sure of what age they consider adult. This is a do it yourself tour.

If you search the Bahamas forum for Walking Tour, you can find a post about walking around Nassau with lots of pictures and helpful information.

Hope this helps and enjoy your cruise. It will be my first time in Bahamas too next week:).
