IslandToIsland Posted September 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2011 We have always chosen private tours on every island, but we are leaving in a little over a week and I am still pulling my hair out about what to do in Panama. I was going to book privately to see the locks and the indian village, but am so worried about getting back late in this port due to posts I have read. Has anyone ever taken the Eco, Indians, Locks Tour through Carnival? If so, what was your experience?
CRUSINGFAMILY Posted September 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Yes we did that tour last April, we were sailing with Royal Caribbean, it is an amazing tour, I think we used My friend Mario or something like that, they do this tour all the time, don't worry they will get you to the ship on time. We had a group of about 20 people I would say. Don't miss it, the cruise ship's excursion was with us at the same time and we paid much less for the tour our selves. Enjoy your trip you will love it. lavinia21 Posted September 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2011 We just came back from this cruise and I can highly recommend 1. Eduardo Humphreys (yourluckytour.com) for every tour in Costa Rica. It was just great and we had the same tour as the ship offered for only 45 $ and saw even more. 2. as well as Myfriendmario in Panama. We took the exact same tour and there we were at the ship 1,5 h before departure. The stay in the Indian village was interesting but very very long. You will only have about 30-45 minutes at the Panama Canal and Gantun Lock...pretty short, since my husband wanted to travel to Panama ONLY because of the locks. Costs were about 80$ p.P.. Both tours are very safe and the organisation as well as the transportation are pretty good. Furthermore, our group consisted of only 15 people. BeccaStorm Posted September 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Do you have any pictures from your tour in Panama? I'm really interested in what to do while we are there as well especailly with kids. And you felt safe the entire time? We have been to Belize and Roatan and we felt fairly safe but was wondering how Panama compares?
