It is so expensive to buy the day pass and not sure if it is worth it since our ship is only there for 6 hours., I am wondering can we just walk into the lobby and just see the hotel?

Best way to get there is by Taxi ($4pp).

You can walk in the lobby, but you are immediately asked to move along to the casino area. You can no longer linger in the Royal Towers, or access the viewing area for the DIGS.

 

There is no access to view the grounds from the hotel, you can't get out the back doors onto the verandas any longer.

 

So.. if you just want to see the casino and shopping arcade, then take a cab. Otherwise, spend your time having fun or relaxing at the beach.

It's just a hotel.
