missmacie Posted September 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2011 We just booked our first cruise. We're in our late twenties and don't plan on going to bed overly early any night of the trip. However, i've read nothing but bad reviews on Deck 6, mainly due to noise. How bad IS the noise? Those of you that have sailed on Freedom or any other Conquest ships? If we're planning on being up until 12-1am every night anyways, will we find it an issue?
kroozers Posted September 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2011 Depends on where your cabin is. If it's over the casino or dance club there will be late activity below you. Look at the ship's floor plan to see what you will be above.
wendymac Posted September 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2011 we were on the Freedom on deck 6 right at the front of the ship in an obstructed view room which is right over the theatre - we had absolutely no issues with noise. We were in cabin 6205
kayakittyyak Posted September 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2011 We were in a room on the port side aft and could hear and feel feel the bass vibration from below.

Look at the ship's floor plan to see what you will be above. The best advice! We were in 6399 (a balcony) and no noise issues (except the night of the progressive bar crawl - we could hear the "parade" as they went from Promenade Deck to Lido - didn't last long). I have read posts here of people with cabins that were close to the atrium having noise issues, so I would avoid those cabins too.
Reighvin Posted September 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2011 Just got back from a cruise on the Freedom (non-military cruise cherry popped), and we were in 6332. The only time we heard anything was the last night when some people decided to take their party to the hallways. Other than that, it was very nice. Go down a deck to get to the stores and casino. The middle of pretty much everything.

gawn Posted September 25, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2011 We had 6229. We could hear the music from the shows. But, they were over early enough. So, it wasn't an issue.

We were in cabin 6205 Thanks for this Wendy, I'm probably booking this one today and was wondering about the door slamming. Although, Im rarely in the room and can sleep though anything. :)
